SAFE WORKFLOW

Edit a draft, validate it, and then stage it to the public shadow configuration. Staging does not alter KNEB-TV-LIVE or enable Traffic Manager.

SERVER DRAFTNot connectedUse the publisher code to load the station draft.
SHADOW CONFIGURATIONNot stagedThe test configuration is created after validation.
ON-AIR WEATHER LOCATIONS

Paired currents and forecasts

Each location plays its current card and then its forecast card before moving to the next city. A missing current is skipped without removing its forecast.

Current and forecast locations are managed together. Forecast-only places such as Bridgeport and Hyannis remain valid. Legacy rotator fields are synchronized automatically for KNEB-TV-LIVE.
0 enabledUse the arrows to set the city sequence. Current and forecast can be enabled independently.
Connect to load weather locations.
LIVE CAMERA PLAYLIST

Camera feeds

Enable, order, or add HLS and MJPEG streams. Each camera can have its own on-air title and logo overlay.

HTTPS camera feeds are preferred. A browser may block an HTTP MJPEG feed when the presentation itself is loaded over HTTPS.
0 enabledUse the arrows to set the camera sequence.

COMPLETE PRESENTATION ORDER

On-air rundown

Place Radar, HRRR Futurecast, selected maps, and the camera block anywhere in one continuous loop.

This is the final playback order. Videos play once from beginning to end. Maps keep the duration and display rules set in Map Playlist. The Enabled Cameras item plays every enabled camera using the order set in Cameras.
0 rundown itemsUse the arrows to put cameras between groups of maps, or move Radar and HRRR to any position.

SPONSOR ASSET LIBRARY

Presentation sponsor slots

Upload a logo once, preview it, and assign it to a specific part of the broadcast layout.

PNG, JPEG, WebP, or GIF · 5 MB maximum · 4096 × 4096 maximum. Uploading a file does not make it active until the configuration is staged.
MAP PRESENTATION

City labels and map layers

Configure each map view independently. These are separate from weather-data locations.

0 labels enabledArrows set collision priority.

ON-AIR MAP SEQUENCE

Map playlist and display rules

Select maps, set their order and duration, and define when each product is eligible to air.

Products are grouped by category, product family, and map area. “Show On Air” controls the station rotation. “Auto Update” tells the cloud publisher to check that map at its normal interval and render it only when the source data changes. The optional on-air title replaces the product name on screen. Dynamic weekdays such as {{forecast-day:3:possessive}} are supported.

Control headlines, markets, sports, closings, and future information modules with the same scheduling rules used by maps.

Widgets marked “data required” are skipped automatically when their source is unavailable or empty.

SEVERE WEATHER CONTROL

Alert policy and presentation

Manage colors, crawl eligibility, sounds, maps, takeovers, and social behavior from AerionOS while retaining the tuned Alert Manager script for broadcast wording.

Policy moves to AerionOS; crawl wording stays protected. Sheet policy can be imported by CSV, but generic “Scroll Text” and “Wording” columns never replace the existing Alert Manager formatter. A custom web template requires an explicit per-alert override.

SHEET MIGRATION

Export the workbook’s ALERT COLORS tab as CSV to migrate priority, alert type, NWS/custom background color, and custom on-air label. Other policy CSVs may use eventCode, eventName, displayName, category, priorityRank, color, enabled, crawl, chime, mapMode, takeoverMode, takeoverSeconds, and socialMode. Crawl templates import only when wordingMode is explicitly set to custom-template.

SPECIALIZED WORKSPACES

AerionOS managers

Customization Manager chooses what airs. Specialized managers create products, parse operational data, and handle detailed workflows.

SEVERE WEATHER OWNERSHIP

The Severe Weather section is now the station source of truth for alert policy and presentation. Alert Manager continues to parse NWS products and render polygons while consuming the staged web rules.

STATION & POLICY

Identity, branding, and service area

These settings identify the station pack and preserve operator authority.

Station Bug / Logo

Upload the station logo used as the on-air corner bug. Shadow staging will not alter the live bug until the presentation runtime is enabled.

NO STATION LOGO
Severe-weather automation, alert colors, and per-product behavior are managed in the dedicated Severe Weather section.

PRODUCTION LOCK

This release deliberately has no production-publish action. KNEB-TV-LIVE and Traffic Manager remain unchanged.

Connect Customization Manager

Use the existing AerionOS publisher code. The code is kept only for this browser session.

WEATHER LOCATION

Add current / forecast location

Add a paired location, a METAR-only location, or a forecast-only point. At least one source identifier is required.

LIVE CAMERA PLAYLIST

Add a camera feed

Use an HLS master playlist URL or a direct MJPEG stream URL. The camera name is shown on air.
